Save The Cats

Save The Cats is currently the only game that I worked on by myself. The game was a project for a summer Game Design and Employment Skills workshop offered by Tech Kids Unlimited. The main development of the game started out in the early days of August when I learned about Bitsy and what I'm able to create in Bitsy. The main inspiration came from playing several Bitsy games and getting a feel for Bitsy's capabilities. As I designed 10 mazes, I pondered to myself about other additions I could make in development. So, during testing days, I received feedback, specifically about the difficulty of the mazes and the narrative. So, I did a reset on the mazes and reworked them with increased difficulty, a more detailed narrative, and included a variety of cats mainly around magic and myth. I also created the game's title art. After the summer workshop was over, I had inspiration to do 5 more levels but with 2 cats in each, one which was an illusion and a second that was real. So, I spent some of my free time thinking about the level design and eventually finished 5 additional mazes.
